Things are taking off in November!

…and it all starts with one crazy Saturday.

November 6th will be a busy day beginning with a 2pm solo set at Culture Control II at the Paper Tiger in Vancouver. It will feature some solo arrangements that I’ve been putting together as well as some original ideas that I’ve been toying with. It’s a blast to do, so definitely come on out if you can! Following that performance, The Student Loan will be busting out the new tunes for “Bartender Saturday,” at the White Eagle which will feature a few new originals as well as some covers by Soundgarden, the Allman Brothers, and Black Sabbath. We’ll finish up the night with an appearance at the Brickhouse in Vancouver, which is always a fun one for us.

Speaking of the Student Loan, we’ve got some phenomenal shows coming up, including a double-bill with the furious pickers of Wy’East on November 12th at Biddy McGraw’s. As if that weren’t enough, the Loan will be appearing alongside Left Coast Country at the Blue Monk November 26th. So, if you’re feeling the need to dance off some Thanksgiving calories, I’m just sayin’…

I’ve become a permanent feature alongside vocalist Matthew Gailey, who has, in turn, become a monthly fixture at Barile Beer and Wine which will kick off on November 13th. Matthew plays a mix of originals and re-imaginings of material by artists such as Gnarls Barkley, Radiohead, and Ray Charles. This motley crew also consists of Riley Geare on drums and Neil Mattson on guitar.

Trio Flux will appear twice this month, crashing into the Camellia Lounge on November 19th and opening for SugarFree Jazz November 20th at The Globe Cafe. We’ll debut a few new tunes, and continue building momentum toward the upcoming release of our debut album which, rumor has it, may feature a special guest artist!

Too much good stuff for one month. I’ll catch up to you in a couple weeks.
