Sweet times with songwriters.

I’ve said it a thousand times, but my favorite shows are with singer-songwriters. Since I’m not a lyricist myself, I get to live vicariously through them. It’s like getting paid to see a great show with the best possible seats in the house. While The Student Loan will be away for this Saturday’s 8/20 Eagle Hour, I’ll be joining Will West for the first time for his Thursday, 8/18 Happy Hour show at the White Eagle. He’s a great songwriter and guitarist, and there will be plenty of other folks along for the ride as well.

If you’re lamenting the absence of TSL this Saturday August 20th, nurse those blues with the sweet sounds of Kory Quinn, who will be subbing for us with a selection of quality sidemen. I wish I could join him, but I just have to be patient…for a week. Saturday, 8/27 I’ll be returning (again) to the White Eagle with The Student Loan and following it up with a late evening show at Maher’s Irish Pub in Lake Oswego with Kory Quinn.
